The INGU Factor - or the reason our team never take their Paid Time Off.

We pay and reward our team for good work. We pay above minimum wage, and more than our competitors. The benefits we provide our team are better and different than in more conventional workplaces. We know this because we worked in our competitor companies.

Here’s an example. Everyone at INGU earns “Paid Time Off” and everyone who speaks fluent INGU calls that PTO. Doesn’t matter if you are part-time or full-time, show up and get your work done, you earn PTO every hour you are here.

One day we noticed that none of our team ever take their PTO. We asked them why. They told us they don’t want to take a day off, they want to be here. That made us realize how much meaning and importance their roles at INGU mean to them. So we asked them what they would really like as a reward for good work. The unanimous response was Chinese food. You see, every Friday we would just order in Chinese food as an end-of-week thank you. Turns out that was a real highlight for everyone.

So now our team can trade their PTO for CFC - Chinese Food Credits. No-one ever takes any time off, but the Chinese restaurant down the road is doing very well indeed.

That’s why we do this. We help our community, we support our community, and that makes all of our team a bigger, equal part of our community. That’s the INGU Factor.
